Fu Zhou Zai Fried Seafood ( 福州子) @ Restoran Yong Hua, Taman United, Jalan Klang Lama

Fu Zhou Zai ( 福州子) has always been a trusted and reliable place to enjoy some nice and tasty cooked food and to topped it all, the prices are reasonable.

As it was still early, the crowd was only a handsful. Try coming after 7pm and you’ll end up queueing for a table. Yes, you literally have to wait! Come early guys, like me!

Curry Fish Fead (咖喱鱼头) @ RM 27.00 ~ My favorite whenever I visit this place. Never get tired of it and never able to finish it with wifey. It’s so filling partly contributed by the rich gravy. Tasted great and the fish is fresh and sweet. Not too spicy too. We always end up packing at least ½ of it home after the meal.

Marmite Spare Ribs (妈蜜排骨) @ RM 22.00 ~ The taste is fabulous but the meat was very tough and it gave all of us a hard time munching it!

Stir-Fry Chinese Cabbage (清炒菜胆) @ RM 12.00 ~ Stems were overly tough and tough! Very disappointing!

Deep-fried bean curd with minced meat (油炸肉碎豆腐) @ RM 10.00 ~ The outer layer of the bean curd is crispy and the inner is smooth. Toppings a little salty though.

Clams in Superior Broth (上汤啦啦) @ RM 18.00 ~ Kepah wasn’t fresh thus produced a very strong fishy smell. Even the broth was filled with the fishy smell from the kepahs! Another disappointment!

All in for RM 97.00 but only the curry fish head is worth the praised! The rest were really sub-standard cooking during this visit! We voiced our dissatisfaction over the poor food quality and the captain assured us that she’ll bring it up to the chefs! Will I return? I would coz this is the only time they really screwed up after so many satisfied visits!
