Instead of having lunch at Goh Tong Jaya, (a usual place where we normally dine whenever we stay over at Genting Highlands), we wanted something different and all of us agreed to check out this place in Bukit Tinggi which takes just a short drive from Genting Sempah. Finding this place is not difficult as some I’ve jotted down the direction from a fellow blogger Precious Pea. Thx PP!
As we arrived at around noon, the place is already packed with hungry food lovers! Luckily parking space and tables are ample. No hassle. The food must be good judging by the cars and the number of customers they have. Can’t wait!
Bean curd in Minced Meat (肉碎豆腐) @ RM 7.00 ~ Bean curd sliced and deep-fried covered with minced meat and a sprinkle of spring onion. Taste ok but nothing special!
Baked Silver Catfish in clay pot ((生烤白苏公) @ RM 21.00 (RM 30.00/kg) ~ One of their signature dish, the fish is baked instead of the normal steamed version. The freshness of the fish can be tasted through the sweetness of its meat. Recommended!
Stir-Fry Watercress (清炒西洋菜) @ RM 6.00 ~ Since this is also another recommended dish, I persuaded wifey to give it a shot. She wasn’t too impress therefore I have to finish most of it. I realised I didn’t like it all that much either!
Stir-fry Chinese cabbage (清炒菜心) @ RM 6.00 ~ Tasted ok but look damn boring! There’s no life on the greens!
Curry Wild Boar (咖哩山豬肉) @ RM 8.00 ~ I must admit that this dish was good although I didn’t manage to wipe it clean. My tank was already full when this plate of lovely dish was served. I ta pow-ed the remaining!
Complimentary watermelon. Refreshing after a sumptuous meal!
Totaled @ RM 56.00 inclusive of a pot of Jasmine Chinese tea for two (RM 3.00) and 5 plain white rice (RM 5.00). Absolutely reasonable don’t you think? Won’t even have to think twice to re-visit this restaurant again during my next visit to Genting Highlands! I’ll be back!
