Remember Restoran 126 @ Kg. Bukit Tinggi, Bentong, Pahang

What do you normally do during CNY?? Visiting, relaxing, Lou Sang and more eating as most of us would! Afterwhich, the women would sign up for weight loss programs to shake off the fats!! How interesting!

As we are still enjoying our break, Cat suggested we take a slow drive to Bentong for food. I was like, again? I was there just a few days back, but what the heck, afterall the food there is good and reasonably priced! On top of that, Two & Lily is back in KL and a bigger group means we can have more varieties on the table!

Yee Sang (七彩鱼生) @ RM 36.00 ~ Almost all Chinese would have this on their table during the CNY.  I always find that this dish is not worth the $$ as nothing worthy comes with it except for a few slices of raw salmon. Well, since it symbolizes wealth & prosperity, ok la!

The process of having all the sauces and juices on the Yee Sang! Squeeze, squeeze squeeze!

Raw salmon slices are minimal. Get your chopsticks ready or else you end up with only sesame seeds!!

Toss and toss and toss! The higher the better! Result? The table got all messed up but rest assured, LUCK is on the way! Huat ahhh!

Baked Silver Catfish in Claypot (生烤白苏公@ RM 36.00 ~ Fresh and sweet. A signature dish here. Cost the same as the Yee Sang (七彩鱼生)! Which would you prefer honestly??

Stir-Fry Romaine Lettuce (清炒油麦) @ RM 8.00 ~ Fresh & crunchy!

Claypot Pork Belly with Salted Fish (咸鱼花腩煲) @ RM 16.00 ~ This was good too. Aroma of the salted fish is pungent but extremely appetizing. The pork belly is succulent and juicy. Recommended!

Marmite Spare Ribs (妈蜜排骨) @ RM 8.00 ~ This was a letdown. The meat is soggy and the taste of marmite is non-existent!

Wild Boar Curry (咖哩山豬肉) @ RM 16.00 ~ This animal may look ugly but its meat definitely tastes great, especially cooked in this manner. The presence of coconut aroma is a little too strong this time around but still we enjoyed every bit of it!

Stir-Fry Watercress (清炒西洋菜) @ RM 8.00 ~ Wifey and I did not enjoy this very much on our previous visit but since the rest have not tried before, we went ahead with the order. Everyone liked it and surprisingly wifey began to accept it too! We even bagged some fresh ones home from a roadside stall just outside the restaurant.

Thai Style Beancurd (泰式豆腐) @ RM 12.00 ~ Deep fried bean curds were crispy and the Thai sauce is nicely prepared. Not overly spicy even with the loads of chilly seeds in it.  More like an appetizer to me but tastes good!

At only an amazing RM 168.00 (12 plain white rice & a pot of Chinese Tea), everyone left the table feeling satisfied, full and of course with a smile on the face! A truly enjoyable and nice meal to savour with family members and friends alike during this festive season! Gong Xi! Gong Xi!!
